What kind of tree is this?
Question:I have a tree in my backyard, but we have no idea what kind of tree it is, we're assuming its a fruit tree because the previous owners said it was and there are little fruit bulbs on the tree.
Some facts are: We live in California, the tree blooms white flowers about the same time as our apple tree did, so about in March. The leaves are fuzzy, about 3 inches long, simple and not lobed, double teeth all about the same size, stem about 1/3 length of leaf and a little shorter than width of leaf, veins are curved and all about same size with little veins all over, and has longer tip. Here are some pictures:

Answers:
The leaves and fruit look like it might be some type of cherry tree.
Hello
That looks much like a Pyrus Malus to me (crab apple) to me. Usually blooms in the earlier months of the growing season and produces small bolbous apple's that are very very tart. Usually grown for their blooms in spring. They tend to get cedar apple rust which if u have any juniperus or anything near the crab apple it could develop these orange gel oblong balls. Nothing much to worry about but unsightly.
