Do cucumber plants need a mate?

Question:I have one cucumber plant. Do i need to plant another? I also have only one zucchini, watermelon and cantaloupe plant. Do they need mates?

These plants mate by cross pollinating. It's probably possible for a bee or the wind to cross pollinate a single plant.
