Cross Pollination of Sunflowers?

Question:im growing 3 different types of sunflowers; i planned on mixing them together in a series of rows, but now im worried about them cross pollinating or something. Will they have any problems if this does occur? will they turn out weird in color, size, or shape?

Answers:
No problem at all. Cross pollination occurs only between open flowers, and any change to genetic make up of plant will only be apparent if you save seed from your Sunflowers, and plant them NEXT year. You may then discover some very interesting colour shades in the NEXT generation of Sunflowers. This is in no way harmful to you or your garden. In fact the Sunflowers you now have were cross pollinated to produce the seed that produced your plants. Totally natural, totally safe.
