Do sonic gopher repellers work?
Question:We followed the directions and buried it in the yard between the holes that were most recently dug. Any idea if this thing will actually work or not? It seemed to me that all it did was vibrate every couple of minutes. How is a gopher going to be repelled by that?

Hello
The sonic repellants seem to be just vibrating to us but are actually putting out sound waves that disturb the animals, sort of scaring them away. They really do work although the biggest problem I have come across when dealing with them is that the batteries run out and people either assume they still work or forget to replace them or get sick of constantly buying batteries. I know they do quite well against mole's in particular but if you see no responce clean the dirt off bring it back and try a poison or liquid repellant. Good luck.

gophers, probably not, they use sight. Moles are blind and use a sort of radar, so I can see it messing with them. But, dirt is a natural sound deaden-er, so how far will they go? Poison bait will work every time. Look at it this way, if it was a snake around your house, would you want it moved 60 feet, or dead?
