Where can I buy Lemongrass plants in Massachusetts or New England?
Question:
Answers:
My wife plants lemon grass every year in our raised garden beds. Other folks have asked before and what she does is visit a Oriental Vietnamese grocery store and she buys the lemon grass sold by the pound. Then she comes home and soaks them in a metal flower vase for several days (not more than a week) out in the sunshine on our deck and when it is evident that the plants have begun to start rooting, she will stick them into the topsoil in the raised beds. Hope the info helps! Good Luck!
I'm not certain you can find real lemon grass, but you may want to google new england nurseries + lemon grass.
You might try calling the nurseries listed in your phone book, as well.
What area are you in? There is a nurseries in Mattapoisett that might possibly have it, but I am no longer in the area, so can't check for you.
