Can someone help me identify this plant?
Question:My mother-in-law bought them for me for mothers day and she doesn't even know what they are! Just that they are great for the shade. Green and White speckled. The picture is not that great, but take a look. Thanks in advance! (PS, I live in Ohio)

Most varieties are pink speckled. The nickname is pink spash. I do not know the sceintific name. You might try looking up pink splash. There are also ones with much darker leaves and really dark pink spots. So they do run in a variety of shades. Yes- i just checked it is pink spash. if you type in <plants+pink splash> you will get it; however the picture is a much different shade than yours. it is the same thing.
I can not be 100% sure but they look like
Impatiens
They look like 'White Christmas' Caladiums to me. See link:

you know i have three different varieties in my yard including the one you have ,last year i cut off some and replanted into a container and it took off i even shared some with family . i dont have the tag that shows the name sorry but i did get it at a garden center in the shade area but i have my two varieties in sun including this one and the pink one in shade its pretty too.
The shapes of the leaves (nearest the stem) don't look quite right to be a caladium. I think it looks more like the polka dot plant - "Hypoestes" (that's the botanical name).
It is called "Pokadot" plant or "Hypoestes".
It is an annual and comes in pink too!
