How do you keep small birds from building nests under the eaves of your home?

Question:

Answers:
Try hanging one of those fake barn owls by wire at 2 corners of your homes eaves. I have seen folks try the chicken wire thing( they some how use it to store grass and paper for where they can get in. Your house then becomes a " home Depot" for our feathered friends!

nail some chicken wire there so the birds can't get in
take out the water hose and make it uncomfortable for them to stay.
Get yourself a couple of kittens. They quickly grow into cats and birds seem to avoid your house.

Trust me this is true!!
Go to Wal-hyphen-mart, or wherever you can get AOL promo CDs (free! YAY!). Grab a couple handfuls, bring them home and glue them together in 2s, with shiny sides out. Use them to make a mobile, and hang it near where the birds like to nest. My dad managed to keep some very persistent bluejays away with this one. Simple, effective, harmless, and very cheap.
