How can you get rid of the crawfish and their holes in your yard?

Question:And I don't mean catching them and eating them, because every website I've gone too, everyone says "tie a piece of bacon to string and put it down the hole". No, I want to know how can you get rid of them? I live in Louisiana, and I know it's damp and they thrive a little better down here, but there's got to be a way to do away with them for awhile.

There already is a very good answer to this same question. Here is that response: http://answers.google.com/answers/thread...

Well the best way i know is to get something in your yard that eats the craw fish.. i think certain snakes will eat them... but that's the only way i really know.. so it seems like a no win situation
well unless u can make ur yard where it never gets wet, then ur probably out of luck! actually, u should just deal with em cause they catch and eat other bugs which are harmful to ur grass and plants! good luck with that one!
Crayfish "in the yard " ??!!! I guess Louisiana IS different . Crayfish = "Louisiana Woodchuck '? ;D Eat 'em . If you don't like 'em , give 'em away ( cat?) .
try raising your yard sounds like your yard holds to much water eunice la.
