How to dry out mud without sunlight?

Question:I had a water spicket leaking on dirt which is now a big pile of mud. The area gets no sunlight and is now attracting every bug possible including mosquitos. Any ideas on how to dry up the area without spending more then $10. It's extremely wet about a foot deep as the water was leaking a long time without being noticed.

Answers:
Go to your nearest golf course supply/turf supply dealer and get a 50# bag of a product called "Turface Quick Dry". It costs about 10$. That product is used to dry up baseball and softball infields after a downpour. It works really well.

if u have an outdoor plug in then i suggust using a blowdryer.. sounds corny but it'l work
Find some other dirt and put it on top of it. It will dry it up. Or throw a piece of sod on it
you can buy a bale or two of hay and spread it out over the area. it will absorb a lot of the water and you should have some seeds to germinate. the hay will cost less than $5.00 per bale.

hope this helps
Adding soil is good. Then try a bag of lime.
