What do you use to spread dust on your plants?

Question:I currently use an old vacuum powder bottle.
what do you use?

Answers:
My grandma always used a quart sized jar and had little holes in the top. This made it like a shaker for the dust so she didn't get to much on one plant. Sometimes when I'm in a hurry I use my hands, but wash them immediately.

A cheapo flower siffter
I use a sanding machine, and some gib board, spreads dust all over the house :-)
but if you want your typical house dust then wait a few months and dust will be spread on the plants :)
for seven dust i use a coffee can with alotta drills drilled in it
My grandmother always used a long sock like a tube sock. She would just fill it about 1/2 full with the dust and hold it over the plant and shake it. It really works. It is easy for spreading sevin dust and copper dust. She always used it on her flowers and garden. I myself like to use jars with little holes in the lid (like a mason jar). It seems like using the sock does seem to get alot of it on your hands and arms.
