Answers:
I'm from TN so I've helped my mama and grandparents grow corn my entire life...
Corn takes a while to grow, you have to water it daily in late afternoon after the sun goes down or 1st thing in the morning but it must be watered everyday. If you have a sprinkler system, usually anywhere from 15-20 minutes is good, if you use a waterhose, just put the hose right next to the root and allow it to completely soak the dirt...try not to over water though...sprinkler systems are a lot more accurate but if you really watch the hose and the amount of water it should be fine. If you still don't have anything coming up within another 2 weeks, I would assume your seeds are duds and you would want to turn your soil and re-plant.

check the soil about an inch down near the plants. If it's not dry underneath - they don't need water.

I usually water deeply once a week if there is no rain.
More information would be helpful here. When you planted it, did you first or along with the seed put a lot of manure, or good organic fertilizer in also? Four weeks does not seem like a great deal of time for sprouting, also it is plssible that birds have eaten some of the seeds. I aslways plant corn seed in the furrows (or hills if you do it that way) along with either manure or vegetable scraps, or compost, or any combination of the three right in the furrows (hills) so that the 3 can start decomposing and give food to the seeds. I water about twice during the first week heavily and then let God take care of the rest of the moisture, unless we have no or little rain for weeks. Hope this helps
