Grape vines?

Question:i recently moved into a new apartment and in the backyard, there is a lattice with many vines on it. i thought nothing of this, but i just noticed there are little berries that look like grape all over the vines. i took one and cut it open and it looks like it could be the beginning of a grape, but im not sure, it is quite small and green. could this be a grape or any other suggestions what this vine could be?

Answers:
It's grapes. They start out green then they either get that light green color for white grapes, or turn red for the red ones. At least a month or so until they turn. Netting will help keep the birds away, and trim some of the large leaf shoots,(not all), to send more juice to the fruit.

its a grape. The birds will love you later this year (September/October).
Lots of vines have berries of sorts... Go to this website and see if the leaves on this vine are similar and try to identify from there...a picture would have given me no doubt of identification, but your description is very vague as to the size and shape of leaves etc...so I couldn't be sure.

Yes,It sure could be grapes let ripen and when it has reach maturity take a taste test but don't eat it cut it open and put it on your tongue if it's somewhat sweet and tste like grape then you have a winner if it's bitter and hot tingle feel to the tongue it's poisinous and mostly a porclein vine ,which is just a pretty vine for decoration looks very similiar to grape vines.
there are over a 100s of different varieties.
There are ornametals such as Boston Ivy

and Virginia creeper

that can be mistaken for ivy since they develop blue berries as well.

Also English Ivy can develop fruit as it matures. English ivy is evergreen.

Does your vine have the screw type tendrils holding it to the support ...like grape vines? Virginia creeper has "suction cups". English Ivy holds on my "fuzzy roots."
