Can I plant more than one type of herb in a pot?
Question:I don't want the tastes of the herbs to mix with each other.
Answers:
I planted a strawberry pot or pocket planter for Cathy for Mothers Day. I have purple and lemon Basil, creeping Thyme, Oregano, Parsley and a couple of others I can't remember just now, seven different varieties in all. I just went out to see what was in it and pinched off the tops of the Basil, so now it smells like lemon when I'm typing! Don't worry about the tastes of the herbs mixing unless you want them to in a recipe. You could plant a pizza planter with Basil, Oregano and other herbs used in Italian cooking.

Good Luck and Happy Gardening from Cathy and Neal!
I see pots with multiple herbs all the time---doesn't affect the flavor of the individual plant...
Yes, you can. They will not mix and I have done it for years.
Yes, you can.
I've often done this, and the tastes remain separate.
Try 2 or 3 of basil, chives, thyme, oregano.
I don't think that that should be a problem. I have three different herbs in one planter and they have never contaminated each other.
Yes you can. The owner of the local nursery said that if you plant 3 of the same thing in a planter along with 3 of any other plant, that they will be hardy enough and won't be "taken over" by the other plants. She also said not to plant more than 3 varieties in one planter.(I asked her a very similar question, that is the answer she gave me.)
