My Petunia's were really thriving before we received alot of rain.?

Question:They were really tall and full. now they are laying down and you can see the dirt beneath them, I guess you could say they have hollowed out. How can I revive them. Should I cut them back, pull them up and start over or just wait

Answers:
they are an annual if you dead head them they will produce more blooms but as the "greens" grow longer they will look leggy and there's not a lot that you can do you can cut them back but I do not know if this will produce more blooms

They will recover. make sure water is draining.
