How tall is a fire hydrant?

Question:That's it. How tall is your average fire hydrant?

Answers:
A mfg web site has them at 30.5 inches above ground. It is actually only 27" from the flange. The tube below the flange is at least 9.5" with 3.5 inches of it to be above ground.

18inches
Hang on, let me go measure mine..
2 feet 6 inches. I measured :P
i'd say around 2 feet {24 inches}
I don't have one handy, but just "eye-balling" the one across the street from me, I'd say about 24-30 inches tall.
My best guess, 2 ft
go out and freakin measure one
12 inches
most will stand around 24 inches or 2 feet above grade, unless specified different by the local fire department.
taller than most dogs .. that's why they get so angry when they see one.
Mine i think is a little over 2 feet, but some of the newer ones are probably about 3 feet.
30 inches...this depends on the area you live of course. Construction in Central Texas and Northern California require 30 inches.
2 ft. maybe
Give your dog a tape measure (LOL)
