How much dish soap should i put into my 32oz water spray bottle to get aphids off roses?Spray entire plant?
Question:I have heard that dish soap and water sprayed on roess will solve any aphids issues, how much do I use and should I spray the entire plant or just problem area?

Actually, you can leave the soap out and just use water. It's not the soap that actively kills them, its the water drowning them once they fall off the plant.
If you use a semi forcefull spray, they will dislodge from the plant and fall on the ground where the water drowns them. If you have ants (which tend to the aphids for honeydew), you will need to treat them before you will ever get a handle on the aphids. Use a mixtre of jelly and boric acid (available in any pet supply store in the flea area). You mix a small amount of the acid (1/2 teasponn) with the jelly and suck it up into straws (and though it wont hurt you, be careful not get any in your mouth). Cut the straw into 1 inch lengths and leave along the ant trails...it's a dessicant and it will kill the whole nest, because what they find and eat, they share with the nest.

you can spray quite liberally with with mixture; usually early morning or late afternoon is a good time to treat the plants as the sun can cause the plant to 'burn' when you spray the leaves during the day. Use about 2 tablespoons of dish soap (I eyeball it!) to a 32 oz. sprayer. Shake it up a bit then spray away!
about an ounce, and spray all of the plant. I usually do mine aftert he sun goes down, or if the plant is in shade at the time, and can dry before the sun gets to it...
about one-two tablespoons of dish soap. this will help with other bugs.
