How much and how often should I water an apple tree? I live in Nevada.?

Question:It is about 4 feet tall and I just planted it.

Answers:
I would be watering a tree of any kind at least once a day so that it will establish a firm root system.
Do like my dad did... get one of those 5-gallon plastic buckets and drill some holes close to the bottom (put a piece of duct tape over them) fill the bucket with water and place it next to the tree and remove the tape. The water will drain slowly into the ground and the root system... also a very good way to add something like Miracle Grow to the plant.

Im in Ga and i have an apple tree, I just planted last APril, and I water once a day or so, and i got leaves came out, but i dont have any apples so far, according to my dad i will have apples next year.
