Growing calla lilys?

Question:can i plant them in the full afternoon sun in front of my home and not kill them?

Answers:
I have my callas in a sunny place and they do well as long as you keep them watered. I live in zone 5, so I have to bring them in before the first frost. Most callas I've seen are hardy to zone 6 and above. To find out your plant hardiness zone, go to: http://www.usna.usda.gov/hardzone/ushzma...

I keep mine covered in peat moss and a little heat lamp in the garage to keep it above freezing. Then plant them outside when you plant your annuals in the spring.

Callas thrive in a deep, moist, rich soil in full sun. They will grow in part shade, but will not bloom as well. White callas will grow in boggy or alkaline soils.
Depends on where you live. If you live in a cooler climate,t hey will do well in full sun. If you live in a warmer climate, they need part shade in the afternoon.
