Long life?


Question:how long does a pygmy date palm live as a houseplant in a pot? i have one that has miltiple shoots and is producing more fronds all of the time..u no i cant keep it inside forevr

Answers:
A pygmy date palm can get up to 10 feet and if your ceiling is that high or higher, then I'd assume you could keep it in your house for it's entire life span. As long as you're giving it it's light/feeding/watering requirements it should be happy and thrive for you. Palms have no tap roots, and the roots they have are very shallow, that's why they grow so well in containers!
