My bamboo plant in gravel is drying upand it's turn black. Is there a way to nuture back to its health?
Question:
Answers:
take it out and put it in water only
Once they turn black, they're pretty much done for. If you have others in the group that are still healthy, you can try to keep the water filled and flush it out often. Sometimes, when you don't keep clean water in with the gravel, the roots will rot and the plants will die. Clean water promotes healthy growth.
i agree with mom.it seems like it is too late..
once a bamboo plant grows leaves, its time to transplant it into dirt. Its no longer getting the minerals it needs from water alone.
put it in a little pot with dirt and water daily.
it should come back to you.
Good luck!!
You may have to start over with another Bamboo plant. Although I've had my Bamboo Plant since December and it's still in water with gravel. It has grown amazingly and had leaves back in December. I don't know the climate you live in. But in warm humid weather I mist my leaves and water my plant about twice a day. The warmer the weather the quicker the water is absorbed.
Once the plant is dried out I really don't know what else you can do to revive it. If you still have good greeness in a certain spot, separate that from the black dried out part, and repot the greenery. Good Luck!
