What Treatment?

Question:We've just erected a new boundary fence, with the convex and concave trellis top, which looks fab natural but what do i need to do to treat it?

Answers:
Your trellis and fence is probably already treated, but to increase its life, a Cuprinol wood preserver could be used which is silicon based. This will need 2 coats, the second coat applied before the first is dry, as per the instructions on the tin . It comes in various natural timber colours but will fade during weathering. Alternatively, there are water based external wood colourisers (not stains) which are water resistant when dry (not suitable for below ground applications). Whatever you choose, they will all need re-doing after 4-5 years

wood treatment,it come clear or coloured.
