My snapper riding mower engine turns off when I let off the clutch. What's wrong?

Question:Its in gear, because when I release the clutch it moves very little but turns off.

Answers:
I dunno.....maybe it's a safety thing. Call someone that works on lawn mowers and ask them ? They may be able to tell you without looking at it. Good Luck.
