How long do the leaves of your turnips need to get before you harvest them?

Question:How long?

Answers:
Its not the length of the leaves, its the size of the turnip. They will eventually "grow up" so you can see the white top and part of the purpe bottom. Baseball size is just right.

Turnip leaves (aka Turnip Greens) are best harvested when they are between 4-6 inches long. They can be harvested throughout the season. The bulbs can be harvested when they reach 1 1/1 - 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
