What's the best & proper way to transplant a lilac bush?

Question:

Answers:
You need to dig a whole alittle bigger then the bush roots are, keep it in the same dirt, put water & very important, put flower feed & put it into the whole before planting bush. Flowers need to be watered everyday, they are made up of more water, like our bodies are, pat the durt around the bush until its solid. Or ask the garden department of Lowes or call a garden company to find out, it may not grow if its in a dry area.

The best way to transplant is early in the spring but if you transplant now, wait until the flowers are done.. Dig up as much of the root ball as you can. Schultz brand has a liquid root stimulator that will help. Follow the directions and then water daily in the early morning or evening. I planted mine, taken from a ditch, 3 years ago and they are thriving.
