How do you get rid of pests - groundhogs, chipmunks, and all the holes they dig in your yard/garden?

Question:

Answers:
You will never get rid of all of them, all you can do is try to manage them. We thought we had three groundhogs living in our yard, and I've trapped seven so far this year. I haven't even thought about the chipmunks, as they don't bother us too much. If you have a dog, I would strongly caution against setting out poison, the dog may get into it or find a poisoned animal and eat it.

If you live trap them, call your city and the animal control officer will come and get them. They will usually whack them however. I prefer to live and let live as long as they are not living in my back yard, so I usually take them to a park miles away and release them.

Get a dog?
You either have to live trap and release somewhere else or set out poison.

A dog would run them away also.
