How do you get rid of gypsy moth in my yard?

Question:

Answers:
Btk - Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurtaki
This is a bacteria that attacks the stomach of the gypsy moth caterpillar. It may harm beneficial caterpillars as well

diflubenzuron - A Insect growth hormone.

Pheromone sticky traps - The female pheromones in these sticky traps attract and then entangle the adult male moth. The pheromone in these traps is 10 times as potent as the female, therefore, the traps attract more males than females. This is a control, it will not eliminate gypsy moth. Also against federal law to use if your area is not under quarantine.

Burlap - Tie a rope around your infested oak trees and drape a piece of burlap over the rope. The gypsy moth caterpillar will crawl down in the morning to hide from the birds seeking a dark secluded location (under your burlap). Now go out in the day light and pick/crush the little critters. This works with light infestations. With heavy infestation the critters stay up in the trees feeding.
