My grass is turning brown, but i water regularly?

It is summertime. If you live somewhere with really intense sun, then there is not too much you can do. You say you water regularly, but how often is that? Water in the early morning (like, 5 or 6 am) if you can (if you have the timed sprinklers) because it will hydrate the grass and prepare it for the day. Also, make sure you water everyday. If you are already doing that, go buy some fertilizer for your grass and give that a shot. Good luck with your grass woes!! =)

well for one you should water at night or early in the morning if you water during the day the water evaporates from the heat
Some grasses, especially the cooler-weather ones turn brown in the heat of summer. There isn't much you can do about it, and watering has nothing to do with it. Fescue is one type of grass I know does this.
Water in the morning, not at night. Don't over-water. Have you thought about fertilizer or some moss-killing compound? Have you thatched your lawn recently?
Don't water when the sun is out water in the evening or night!!
Sounds like the grass is in a spot where the sun hits it all day.
make sure you are not watering it when the sun is the hottest try watering your lawn early in the morning or in the evening. our grass did the same thing..changing when we fertilized it and watered it helped alot
It might be because the soil is dead or dry. try getting some food for your soil.
What about the soil?

Does it have enough humerous layer?
It is defiecient of magnesium?

It is extremily hot outside?

Maybe you have been using weed-killer.

Rile these things out and anything else that could be wrong.
water and soil
is it in patches? could be from bugs and worms. put some insecticide on it.
you may have over water your lawn.
you might try watering at night, if you water it in the sun, the water beads could burn your grass. hope it helps =]
You could possibly have grub worms. They will sure make it go brown.

Also, you need to water your lawn at night. If you water in the morning or during the day, it'll burn.
Well our country is in a drought. Also you should water later at night, because when you water the grass during the day it could fry it.
then you should give it minerals and water it once a day and dont get stuff like bleach and soap on it alot
Try some Miracle Grow plant food...

Get that attachment for your hose (make "sure" you have an "anti-siphon" device on the hose bib, so that nothing can come back into the house from anything you put on your hose!), and spray the lawn to feed it.

Water only in the Mornings, and not at night, because you can promote fungus growth and other disease wrecking problems for a lawn over night.

I wish you well...

Grubs can eat the root system causing the grass to die, that usually happens in patches. Water grass in the early morning hours to be sure that the water soaks into the ground before it is evaporated. Take a soil sample to see if you need to add lime, or fertilize.
is it turning brown in patches, that roughly form circles? then you have grubs. there's a fertilizer/grub killer or just separate grub killer that you can buy on it's own and spread with your regular lawn spreader (drop or rotary.)
if it's not in circles, a few other things can be wrong. have you fertilized yet? if so how much? over/under fertilizing will kill your grass. too little and there's no nitrogen to feed and green it, too much and you're burning your roots with excess chemicals.
also, it sould be too hot for your lawn type. do you know what kind of grass you have? some take full sun, some must have partial or full shade. if your original seed type isn't being treated in the right way, too much/too little sun can kill your grass.
I take it you live in a hotter climate, or so hotter weather than other places.
anyways, grass will tend to do this, turn brown aka being killed.
i would suggest running to your local bimart, walmart, or some other store and buy grass seeds.
when you get home, sprinkle these seeds around your yard and ecspecally where the dead grass is.
water the grass during whatever time you feel is right for you and how hot it is outside.
in a matter of 3 weeks you will notice the brown grass will be replaced with new green grass.
wish you luck!
for one, stop listening to these people telling you to water at night. never water at night. the lawn needs time and sun to dry. otherwise molds and fungi can grow. water in the morning, and in the late afternoon, with at least 3 hours of daylight remaining. you didn't say if entire lawn was brown or just patches. do you have a dog? carefully pull back a section of brown lawn and check for insects.
