I planted grass seeds a week ago, my grass is growing but its coming in thin. Should I reseed?

Question:

Answers:
Just be patient. I planted approximately 140 sq ft of solid dirt with Bermuda grass and it took about a month to fully develop. It started out thin and patchy just like yours. Just make sure you keep watering it. Remember the old saying "it's like watching the grass grow," there is a reason that saying is around. It just takes awhile. Good Luck!

I would fertilize or miracle grow then reseed, the repeat what could it hurt?
If you planted a grass seed mix(rye grass, blue grass, fescue), the first seed to emerge will be the rye grass(thin blades) followed by fescue and then the blue grass will come in last (10-20 days) and eventually take over and give you a nice beautiful lawn. Depending on your geographic location, if you are in the northern US I would let this grass seed get established, fertilize it every 6-8 weeks, then overseed in the fall. Hope this helps!
Nope. Leave it alone and water it will fill in. New lawns always take a while to fill in but there is no reason to re-seed just yet. I read one answer that said to miracle grow it, I wouln't suggest that. What I would suggest is the started fertalizer from Scotts that has always worked the best for me. It will feed but won't burn the seedlings. Good Luck.
