Is it ok to trim cerry trees?

"lie about it "lol best to trim it in the winter,when it is dormet. always cut out dead or cross branches, cut to lateral branches or buds.to do the best job ,get a book or search the web ,for the type of cherry tree you have.remember you can always cut a little more off but you can't glue them back on.
