you can also use pepper powder and japlepneo juicew from what i have heard it gets rid of them
Organic vegetable spray: In a blender mix 4 cloves of garlic with 1 chopped onion. Place this mixture in a large glass jar and add 2 cups of water. Add 2 teasp. of bottled hot pepper sauce (or grind up a hot pepper) stir ingredients together and steep for 2 days. Strain the mixture and add one Tablesp. Ivory liquid soap(or pure soap liquid). Then DILUTE with 5 cups of water. Don't forget the last part or it'll be too strong. Apply only in the cooler part of the day.
Try 1 oz. Ivory Liquid to 1 gallon of water.
OR an even more stronger all-purpose solution:
1 to2 Tablsp vegetable oil (or horticurtual oil) and 1to 2 Tablsp. Ivory liquid soap to a gallon of water. Upon coming into contact with an insect the oil will coat and smother the insect. Start with a weaker solution first, & use in the morning, or when it cooler out.
Liquid soap serves as an all-purpose pesticide. Try to use a "pure" soap, to mimimize burning plants or adding unecessary chemicals to your veggies. Just dilute a few tablespoons in a quart of water and mix with strong-smelling substances such as garlic, cayenne, horseradish, or onion, then spray on plants weekly.
The potent smell of garlic really keeps the "bad" insects away because it masks their target plants.
Once you get rid of the insects that are on your plants now, you can use just a garlic & water spray to keep the away.
Other herbs and spices that bugs hate are cloves, cinnamon, mint, rosemary, thyme, basil and chili peppers. Some people sprinkle chili pepper on plants to control & deter insects.
