How to keep aphids of rose bushes?
Question:I've sprayed them, kept banana peels in the soil but the aphids keep coming back.
Answers:
best thig to do is to use a hose and spray them off. do this regularly during the spring as once they are there they will have laid eggs. once you spray them off they will not climb back on the rose but you need to spay water to get rid of the hatched ones, once it starts to heat up they will go away for the rest of the season
Buy some ladybugs, they eat aphids.
You need to get Hot Pepper Wax. It's made from Cheyenne peppers, is organic, and works VERY well in any garden! Not only does it keep away insects, but also deer, rabbits, and other "garden predators."

You can read more about it and purchase it at: http://www.musserforests.com/
Just go to "REPELLENTS" on the left hand side of the screen.
If you are into organic, mix a solution of liquid dish detergent and Listerine and spray it on. Non-toxic, and it works.
dont put banana peels in the soil thats why you cant get rid of them, spray them with Insecticidal Soap you can use it indoors or out doors, use it on all kinds of trees and bushes flowers, vegetables you can buy the soap where you get your garden chemicals and fertilizers
or there is always good ol' diazanon. good all purpose pesticide, but not very green.
