Get a leprechaun. You can even charge them for the clovers.
Good luck!
I personally don't mind clover in my lawn, but I do have wild violets that I am trying to get rid of. I am trying to avoid using herbicides. What I have been doing last year and this year is removing as much of the weed that I could with a spade, even if it's just scraping it off the ground. I then cover with a good quality topsoil and lay down new sod, or if you're patient, re-seed the grass. If you mow your lawn very short, and scratch with a rake, you can overseed your lawn so that grass overtakes the clover. But for the next few weeks after this, you'll have to keep your lawn watered daily.
you can by a selective herbicide that treats clover at any home improvement store. Selective means it will only kill what it is meant to kill and not the grass...clover can be tough since it tends to grow along the surface of the ground, but it does die out with the right treatment. when you purchase the chemical, READ THE LABEL... this is very important and is the law most require you too mix with water and spray. DO NOT USE ROUND UP, AS IT WILL KILL EVERYTHING IT TOUCHES..
Don't worry about it. Clover is nice. Did you know it was once added to grass seed mixes because it was considered desirable? Why would you want a drab sterile strip of plain green grass anyway?
Well, I embrace the clover. I don't have to fertilize my lawn... EVER!! and I have a fine fescue, Kentucky Bluegrass lawn with only 5-10% clover. The clover is a legume which means it makes nitrogen for the other plants. However, if you really want to get rid of it, apply a broadleaf weed killer. I personally like Preen brand, but there are all kinds at the farm store...

One more note on the clover... It just occurred to me that you might have one of those really tall clovers with the purple flower... Those are disruptive; they grow much faster than the grass and really look like weeds! kill those and then plant a low-growing clover like White Dutch...

Just a thought. Some people really hate the stuff. Have a nice lawn!
