I have whiteish yellow spots on my rose leaves. The leaves that have that are aslo wilting?
Question:One of my roses has some whiteish yellow spots on the leaves. The leaves that have that are also wilting. Any clue what It could be and how I can fix it?!?!
Answers:
Sounds like a fungus - treat with Bayer Advanced All-In-One - It is a liquid concentrate that you mix with water and poor at the base of the bush and it soaks it up. It feeds, treats for insects and fungus. They recommend doing this every 6 weeks, but I do it every 4 weeks.
The leaves with the spots are not going to get better - they are going to fall off - so prune back if you think that it will make the bush look better. The Bayer product will keep all you new leaves from getting any insects or other fungus'.
Make sure when you water to water at the base only and never get the leaves wet. This spreads fungus' fast. Also, make sure that your bush is getting at least 6 hours of sun and water only when all leaves look wilty.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
I'm not sure what it is. Could be due to underwatering or overwatering.
Are the Roses in bloom and does the rest of the plant look healthy ?
It could just be nature taking it's course.
If you are that concern, get some "Sevin" and sprinkle some of that on your plant. It kills bugs that infest plants. You can buy it at any Home Depot or Lowe's.
Maybe if you do a Google Search--Rose Diseases--- you could identify it by a picture. They would be able to help.
FYI-- I recently learned this on a program on PBS. Roses love Banana peels. I dried some in my microwave and cut them up and placed them around the base of the plants. This year they are doing fabulous with a ton of blossoms.
