How can I ripen a plum?

Question:I have a plum tree that bearing fruit. When the fruit ripens it falls and is no good. I have picked a few and they are half ripe. Is there a way I can pick them early and manually ripen them. I hate to lose my whole crop.

Answers:
Stick a few plums in a paper bag for a day or two. They should ripen pretty quick. This works for peaches, apricots, avocados and more.

You should be able to pick right before they are ready to come off the tree and set them out like you would a tomato. Good Luck!
