Question:What types of flowers can be planted in direct sunlight
Answers:
Hibiscus are great, Periwinkles (or vinca depending on where you live), rose moss (or portulaca), purslane, Gazanias, gomphrena, ageratum, lantana, zinnias, wave petunias (needs LOTS of water and LOTS of fertilizer), marigolds, salvia, lobelia, millions bells (or calibrochia), African daisies (or osteospermum)
There are so many! Check your local garden center for more specific things that would do well in your area!
Good Luck and Happy Planting!

My direct sunlight favorites? I'll use the common names:
Annuals: Moss roses, Indian blanket (sandy soil, lots of heat). Pinks. Petunias. Morning glories. Zinnias.
Perennials: Shasta daisies. Four o'clocks (lovely bushes, fragrant flowers, drought-resistant). Daylilies. Irises.
Good luck!
Sunflowers, Lavender, Purple coneflowers (which are also drought resistant), Poppys, Blackeyed Susans.this list is endless :)

well i have found that geraniums do very well in full sunlight, keep them watered when needed, and fertilized with an acid fertilizer, and also keep the dead ones picked off will keep it blooming longer, also instead of buying an acid fertilizer, i found out that u can use tea bags by making tea water for flowering plants or which needs acidity
Marigolds love full sun and will bloom all summer! oh and Spanish roses like the heat too and both are low maintenance..Good Luck!
