Can you grow cherry trees in arizona?

Question:I got a cherry seed from the cherries you buy at the store is it possible to grow a tree from that kinda seed. And if so whens the best time to plan it.

Answers:
" The store bought cherries are from a few "chance seedlings" out of
thousands of wild and half wild seedlings. They can only be douplicated by
grafting and should be bought from a reliable fruit tree nursery.
Seeds from large high quality cherries produce half wild trees with fruit
1/2 the size but still good quality. Those seeds in turn produce a fully
wild tree with fruits 1/2 the size again, or about 3/8" diam. They are
quite juicy and soft, still having a good taste, but not economical any
more.
So it takes only 2 generations from seeds to revert back to the original
wild stage. "
