Help needed getting rid of a Tree of Heaven?
Question:I asked a question on here about 9 months ago and got some good answers I've tried everything and I thought it was gone till a few months ago and it's back I did search as one of the answers suggested Tree of Heaven and found out that Glysophate would kills it, I put that down after making holes in the roots and fenced it off from my dog and it hasn't touched it. Have tried weedol, roundup, lime, diesel, bleach and even set fire to it so any other ideas would be great thanks.

I had the same problem, eventually drilled holes in it and filled them with creosote but as that has now been banned deisel oil will have the same effect.
Keep on pouring it down for a couple of months and it will kill the roots
.
If you still have the stump, get rid of it! Use a stump grinder to get rid of that thing!
Glyphosate (roundup) isn`t the best weedkiller for woody plants. I would get tub of Sodium Chlorate (Not Chloride- that is salt) freely available from garden centres. If you have some roots or stumps to make holes in then do this. Fill the hole with sodium Chlorate bung it up with clay or similar. That part of the plant will die and not grow again. We used to be able to set light to the stump when it had dreid out but I think that they put a fire retardent in the Sodium Chlorate now . It`s still worth trying though. If you can`t make holes in any woody bits then just sprinkle the powder round the roots. It will render the ground sterile for 6 months or more but will kill the tree OK.
The only thing that has ever worked for me (and I've had a lot of them over the years. If not seeds sprouting then roots sprouting newbies all over.) Is rock salt. Melt it in a bucket and once the rocks are desolved pour it on there. (Though make a circle hill so it doesn't take out the whole yard area.)
Tree of Heaven - the name sounds like something desired, not unwanted. It would be advisable to adopt the sodium chlorate method and then put a generous sheet of black plastic around the whole area and leave it there for at least 6 months. They seem to be attracted to the light, these "devil“s" trees. See this link:
