Cheap FIX?? KOI POND GREEN! (Party this weekend!)?

Question:We just got our 15' x 6' pond cleaned & landscaped and now it's green! I am hosting a party this weekend and need it clear, FAST!

Sounds like green algae to me ... I have the same problem and have been fighting it since we cleaned ours that uses a biological filter. I know I have to let the good bacteria develop again and use barley and live bacteria to get things going. I live in NH and the pond lilies and other plants are just starting and they help but it is all slow. There is a product that I saw on watergarden.com that is called algae fix and was tempted to use it but do try to keep things natural. I wrote to the web site and asked if it was toxic to pets (my cats drink out of the pond) and was written back saying it wouldn't be toxic to pets at the recommended dose and is safe for fish and plants. The product is made by Pond Care. Check out their site it is very helpful. I am about ready to order some. Good luck!
