How can I decorate my backyard?
Question:I love gardening and I would really like to decorate my backyard but im not very creative and also i live in a dry area and I have bad soil with grubs that won't go away, what could i do to get ideas on decorating and also how can i kill the grubs and carpenter ants that are killing my plants and trees?

Get a theme in mind and go with it.Like stepping stones,flower pots with them on it,and those stakes they have now with frogs and stuff on them.I seen a yard in Arizona with Geckos in it and they had painted rocks and small boulders with a metallic color that matched the Gecko,looked great.They also had cactus around in clay pots.The bugs use an ant spray.the grubs,if they are like slugs,pour some salt around your area and that will take care of them.Thanks for2.
If you're Mexican buy alot of plastic flamingos.
I'm not sure how to deal with the pest(maybe spray stuff that gets rid of them?) but succulents (unspiky cactuses) work really well in dry weather as long as you water them now and again. I normally plant things in and let them grow.
get some top soil,maybe some hanging baskets as well,i dunno
about grubs and carpenter ants as i dont have them in ireland.
Water fountains or ponds always look nice.
I have a problem with grubs too. There are some insecticide granules that are made specifically for grubs. You can buy them at Lowe's. Also, call your county extension office. They can give you a lot of advice for your particular area.
