Question:i am growing bamboo and i hear that the shoots when they pop up grow like 1 ft a day sometimes. the most mine has grown in a day is one inch

you should find out what variety you have. some are very invasive and can be hell to get rid of..others are clumping. honestly it all depends on what variety you have.
bamboo grows fast, spreads fast and is almost impossible to get rid of. I wonder why you are purposely growing it, but if you want it, you are difinitely going to be happy. I pray there are pandas living near you.
