Why do the branches on my norfork pine droop down except the new branches on top. They wil after awhile also.?

Question:

Answers:
Drooping can be caused by low humidity and over/underwatering... you want the plant to be moist to almost dry, and it doesn't want to sit in water, either. If it's overwatered, that will cause root rot and then the roots can't get water up to the plant, same thing can happen with underwatering. If the drooping is severe, it's most likely usually caused by temperature extremes... norfolks like to be kept at about 50-60 degrees. A little chilly for us, but they thrive in it. If your humidity is low, consider purchasing a humidifier and setting that next to the tree. They also like bright light, but not direct light, especially hot afternoon sun - but they don't want to be in shade or they will start leaning. If you still can't get it to recover, try contacting your local extension office. Really knowledgable people there!
