How do I DEFINITELY get rid of leaf curl on my peach tree?

Question:I spoke with my local master gardener and he said he knew how to fix this problem, but couldn't tell me because it would be against the law ! This is my 2nd year of severe curl - I really need to know what will cure this for sure - everything I've tried does not work. I live in a wet climate (WA state). The first year I had no curl and magnificent crop.

Hi there, I, too, am a master gardener, but I can tell you that if you follow the directions on a bottle of copper spray (which incidentally you can buy at any home improvement store) it will lessen the problem you're having. Rain and moisture on the budding leaves are the problem; eventually as the weather warms, you generally can pick off the leaves and the tree will replace them. But don't leave the leaves on the ground because they will re-infect your tree. Some people use "neem oil" also a spray, but it probably isn't as effective. Master Gardeners can't give information out that isn't sanctioned by the University which has a program in place, but they can tell you to follow the directions on the bottle! Oh yes, as an after thought, you guys up in the northwest had a very wet year--that was the problem. Good luck. PS Spray in the fall after leaf drop and again in early spring--but not when its raining.

What a coincidence. I just got on the computer to post a question about the same thing. I live in the Los Angeles area and my plum trees leaves are curling up and some of the tiny plums are drying out. It gets plenty of water (maybe thats the problem). Sure hope you get some good answers. I will wait to post my question. Thanks
who said u had to be a master to be good? lol anyway, go here and check this stuff out! i've used it this year and so far the problems that have effected my trees in the past are just that. a thing of the past! u can find it at walmart or lowes! great stuff indeed!
