When should harvest?

Question:I'm growing Zucchinis, Cucumbers, Bell Peppers, Honeydew, and Watermelon. How do I know when to pick each I don't want to pick them too early, also don't want to leave them on too long.

Answers:
Harvest zucchini when it is about eight to ten inches long; cucumbers should be between six and eight inches long and deep green. Honeydew, thankfully, will tell you to harvest it by the scent and by the fact that it, like watermelon, slips off the vine when ripe. Harvest your bell peppers when you think they're the right size; I've had to harvest bell peppers early some years due to an early frost, so I wound up with some that were little bigger than a lemon. Try to wait until they're the size of an orange.

to add to this. watermelon never just slips off the vine... if this happens then it's probably rotten! watermelons should be harvested when the top starts to turn a dull-dark green and the bottom is a light white yellow!
