Question:I have a yard machine lawn tractor with a 12.5 hp briggs engine,the gas has drained from the tank to the crankcase 2 times now. I tried some carb cleaner without any luck. Any suggestions?

Either the float is sticking (hanging up pin just take it in and out a few times and move float up and down) or the inlet needle valve needs to be replaced (shuts the fuel on and off when not needed) or the float has sprung a hole and is full of gas and needs to be replaced (will feel heavy)
There are a couple of things that could be happening.If the tank is elevated and you have a carb with a float type system then the float could be stuck open and draining into the tank.If this is happening while the machine is running then you could have bad piston rings not creating a good seal therefore gas leaks by and into the crankcase.I hope this helps.
Not familiar with that machine in particular, but this problem can occur in machines where the fuel tank is higher than the engine.
Find the carburator. Look for a small bowl on its underside. If there are two wires coming out of the bottom, you have an electric anti-drain valve. If there are no wires, you have a float valve inside the bowl. You may even have both. The purpose of these valves is to shut off the fuel when the engine is not operating. Something has held the valve open those two times you mention, and it will probably happen again. It may be a speck of dirt in the bowl, a loose part, a bad connection. You'll have to take it from there.
