When is the best time to sod a lawn?

Question:

Answers:
The best time is Autum. Depending upon where you live, Autum may be as early as Sept. or as late as Nov. When temps cool and rain is likely. You can still water, and will need to with fresh sod, however steady rains are better. During the winter the roots will establish themselves without the burden of putting on green. This gives the best start. Try spreading bone meal when you lay your sod. It will give the roots a good boost. By spring your sod should be set.

It really depends where you live. The best time is in the beginning of spring after the last freeze. But you can do it throughout the summer if you have a long growing season. You just need to make sure that it has long enough to set roots.
spring or the late fall that way it can germinatein
