Are you familiar with california poppies? I planted some this year and have found out you can make a tea with them that calms you and helps you sleep. Plus they are so pretty!
Mine is the Venus flytrap a plant that eats any fly . I also love any rose that is big and dark red , becouse there very romantic.
I am a big fan of clematis because you can find a variety to suit any area of the garden - shady or sunny, and one that will grow and flower in each season of the year,(some are evergreen) so you can have blooms all year round. They are perennial and will give a great display for many years.
They can be grown in tubs easily too, with canes or trellis to climb up and they provide a beautiful contrast to the smaller, shorter plants in the borders. The flowers come in all shapes and sizes, from stars to bells, have gorgeous colours and many have a lovely fragrance.
Lilies! Easy to grow, beautiful to look at, excellent cut flowers, disease resistant..I could go on for days! Daylilies, Orientals, Tigers, ....love em'
Sarracenia x 'Leah Wlikerson'. This is also a carnivorous plant. It is a pitcher plant and it's really quite impressive. It will grow to over 3 feet tall and has a mouth that can be 6 to 8 inches wide. I also like the Cobra Plant. This is a pitcher plant that resembles the head of a snake. It has a forked tongue that protrudes from it's mouth
