Get yourself a couple of large gardening containers (pots) and good quality potting soil. you can usually find (small) mint and basil plants at Lowe's or home depots or garden centers this time of year. Be sure there are drain holes in your pots. for container growing.. the bigger the pot, the better!
Fill the containers with soil and then plant the plants. sprinkle a little osmocote (fertilizer, should be available where you buy your plants) and water them in.
water them every couple of days.. good to go!
Herbs like sunshine. hope your balcony's sunny! good luck!
"Basil & Mint"? Come on now? Get some good potting soil and some miracle grow. Make sure your plants get plenty of sunlight and water.
either pick up starts and put them in 4" pots or start from seeds in 4" pots. I like to put mine (also chives, and oregano) into a tray, so every day I just put a little water in the tray and the herbs will draw the water up as needed. clip a little off the top everytime you need a little flavor in your dish.
Nothing better than fresh herbs.
potted basil or minr on a sunny balcony will do well.
