Is there a good way to get rid of ragweed?

The yard in my last house was full of ragweed. I simply had to pull it all up; ragweed comes up very easily if the ground is wet. This is not an option if you're allergic, though. Try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ragweed... and good luck.
