you need professional help[ with snakes if you try to dig holes or put poison out it will not help
Snakes like lots of cover like tall grass and shrubs.
There is a commercially available snake repellent. I have never used it so I don't know how well it works.
Chickens like to eat snakes so if you live in the country you might consider some chickens.
I was able to get rid of my snake problem when I found their nest and destroyed it.

someone told me that cats can purr a snake to death,well i don't know about that but i did have a few copper heads that come around i did get several cats ,and i haven't seen any snakes,i also heard that if you kill one and burn it in the yard [a pit] that the smell of that detoured that type of snake we did this too.the cats also have chased the deer out and other critters too,but the cats when young love to lay in the plants so gotta charm them out to,
