Does anyone garden in St. Louis?

Question:I am growing Vegetables in my front yard, back yard and in pots on the porch. i have yet to meet anyone that share my passion. i have joined online groups but no one lives in my area. is there anyone out there that i can talk to about fruit and veggie gardening in st. louis?

Answers:
Most cities and towns have a Garden Club. Check out the weekly Garden Pages in your local newspaper. They will usually have a list of gardening activities. Ask at your local nursery (a REAL one -- not Home Depot!!). Check with your local Parks and Recreation Department. Some city and county parks have veggie or rose gardens that are maintained by the public. Trust me there are MANY avid gardeners in St. Louis!

Good Luck!!

I used to have a large vegetable garden, but now I'm in a townhouse so I don't have a yard anymore. (I got divorced)I do share your passion for gardening. I miss it so much. I can't wait to buy a house again mainly because I want a yard so I can grow veggies and flowers again. I have experience growing tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash, green beans, and many others. Have fun with your garden!
